In September of odd numbered years, the President shall appoint a committee of three (3) WOW members (no officers) in good standing to serve on the nominating committee. This committee will prepare a slate of officers for all elective offices: President and Vice President.
At least three times per year, this committee will suggest a community service project. It will investigate all manner of the project including when it will occur, how it will occur, and where the items/checks will be received. They will present the entire scope of the project to the membership at regular membership meetings during the year.
This committee will plan special events and other activities as assigned by the President.
These activities will include all social events to be attended by the membership, such as parties, and picnics and meeting refreshments as needed.
This committee will work on developing Action Items to be acted upon by the members. The chair will send the items to the president to be sent out in their weekly update.
This committee, chaired by the Treasurer, oversees all fundraising income and expenses, develops guidelines for proper expenditures of funds, reviews the coming year’s fiscal budget of income and expenses with the President, reviews the audit of income and expenditures, and presents the audit results to the membership at the next meeting following the audit.
This committee will organize outreach activities, including but not limited to, signing petitions, writing postcards, canvassing, phone banking, attendance at fundraisers, and other such activities that assist candidates during their elections.
This committee creates one or two fundraising activities per year for WOW.
This committee is to promote the public image and actions of WOW. The Communications Facilitator is the chair of the Public Relations Committee.
This Committee focuses on healthcare and aging issues including Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and Mental Health.
This Committee focuses on the current issues facing Veterans because of the possible cuts to benefits and issues accessing services.
The Committee focuses on attending County Commissioner, school boards, and local government meetings.
This committee focuses on protecting women's rights including; reproductive, healthcare access, voting and discrimination.
This committee focuses on the potential cuts to funding, changes in curriculums and other issues facing our public school system.
